After the death of her fiancee, a young woman retreats to a remote montana fire lookout to grieve
but when reciting their vows summons the ghost of her beloved
she must learn to let go of the past before being drawn so deeply into its shadow she's unable to return
shot in montana, wed the dark told a unique story, and presented some unique visual effect challenges.
There were a variety of clean up shots, ranging from logo softening, to tape removal.
One of the visual motifs of the film was an ethereal bead. We worked on a few different variants, and ended on something that would undulate.
IN one scene, the shot begins within the bead, and the camera Zollys out warping the sense of time and space.
One of the benefits of creating things digitally is you can create impossible scenes. The camera starts at a 17mm lens, and zollys out to a 600mm lens.

To help give everything an ethereal surreal feel, we added eyeshine, and enhanced darkness.
Currently Wed THe dark is going to festivals, so enjoy the trailer!
