Over the past few years Montana's film industry has been booming. the Montana Media Coalition wanted to create a series of explainer graphics to help illustrate to film makers and law makers what exactly the media act has been doing, and what it can do for the state's economy and jobs.
It began with a gathering of inspiration for texture and lighting. Trying to find the right vibe for the explainer. We wanted to make something that was approachable and would help to illustrate the key points without being too distracting.
an external designer came up with the color pallet and font choice, and it was up to me to make the characters.
Using a bendy limbs rig from ej hassenfratz i made tokens to slide around the scene like a board game.
Just like a tradtional set, i built a scene in cinema4d, lit it, added the characters and pieces, and textured using redshift render.
all in all, I made 3 explainers for the Montana Media Coalition to help explain what the media act is, what it has done, and what we can do to help ensure a bright film future for montana.
